Our community engagement experts help clients reach stakeholders where they are, fostering project understanding and providing forums to solicit impactful feedback. Informed consent—the idea that all interested parties have a chance to be heard and understand project decisions—defines Sam Schwartz’s community engagement philosophy. The success of our efforts results from reaching out to, building relationships with, and learning from groups typically excluded from the engagement process.

The firm’s technical expertise enables us to communicate complex planning, engineering, and construction concepts in easy to understand ways. We serve as facilitators, educators, advocates, liaisons, and storytellers—providing accessible information to explain highly challenging projects.

We create print and digital communications; staff community liaisons; and plan community meetings and workshops—but we are known for developing innovative solutions to client needs, including pop-up activities at farmer’s markets; interactive digital kiosks; educational programs and curricula; and Community Information Centers that serve as “one-stop shops” for project information and engagement.

We efficiently facilitate each project’s path to completion, whether in the planning, design, or construction phase, working with both the client and the community.
