NYSDOT Statewide Transportation Information Coordination Center Operations

As part of a team, Sam Schwartz is working to staff and operate the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Statewide Transportation Information Coordination Center (STICC) in Albany, New York.

Sam Schwartz currently employs three Transportation Analysts at the STICC. The analysts are responsible for assisting with the capture and analysis of construction, highway, and incident data, whics will be used to track the performance of both the highway system and STICC operations. They are also responsible for collecting, evaluating, and summarizing data to influence future project decisions and planning and to show how different variables impact emergency transportation operations. Sam Schwartz will also hire a Systems Engineer who will be responsible for managing the network systems, providing hardware and software support, supporting field-related operations, and addressing any ITS/communications system issues.

These staff members will work with others at the STICC to allow NYSDOT leadership to focus on enhancing the quality of the statewide driving experience.
