Sam Schwartz provides technical assistance to the District of Columbia DOT (DDOT) to review and address traffic safety and operational concerns throughout the District. This includes review of plan documents and field conditions, analysis of crash data, collection and analysis of traffic data, on-site meetings with constituents, preparation of technical memos, and development of engineering countermeasures to reduce the risk of motor vehicle crashes. More than 200 locations and tasks have been addressed under this project. This contract also includes planning and operational support for major special events such as the 58th Presidential Inauguration and Women’s March; the Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Nationals Park; the grand opening of The Wharf; July 4th street closures; and ongoing support for the Audi Field-Nationals Park Traffic Operations and Parking Plan.
