Sam Schwartz is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the development of a multifamily residential building on the site of the former Stony Lodge Psychiatric Hospital in Ossining, NY.

River Knoll will be a thoughtfully designed, amenity-rich multifamily community consisting of 188 residential units, 10% of which will be affordable. 78% of the site will be preserved as open space.

The Proposed Project would require the rezoning of the portion of the site located in the Town of Ossining from its current R-15 single family zoning district to a newly created MF-2multifamily zoning district. The proposed rezoning is consistent with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. Sam Schwartz is also responsible for preparing the technical support for receipt of other required environmental permits and approvals including approval of the stormwater management plan by the Town of Ossining, approval of sewer and water connections from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Westchester County Department of Health, and approval of the connection to the Water and Sewer District by the Village of Ossining.
